As if there weren’t enough drool-worthy gaming peripherals out there, the ASUS ROG Claymore is adding itself to the mix. The ROG Claymore is the world’s first RGB-backlit mechanical keyboard with a detachable numpad. What’s convenient about this is that it’s like having 3 different keyboards in one.

You can keep the traditional numpad placement on the right or switch it to the left so you can keep your right hand on the mouse where it should be while accessing whatever options using your left hand. Or you can simply go tenkeyless, reducing the footprint of the Claymore for when you take it out to LAN parties.

Of course, if you’re not the type to even use the numpad, you can go for the slightly more affordable ROG Claymore Core. The Claymore Core is essentially the same as the Claymore, except without the detachable numpad. It isn’t clear yet if you could initially get the Claymore Core and then get the numpad later on.

Both the Claymore and Claymore Core come with German-made Cherry MX switches, giving you responsive feedback and durability that should last 50-million keystrokes. They also feature anti-ghosting and full N-key rollover technology to ensure all your keystrokes are being registered. Each key is even individually backlit and programmable, and it’s Aura Sync enabled. So you can create a harmonious RGB light show between your Claymore and ASUS motherboards and graphics cards with Aura light effects.

Of course, you’re going to have to shell out some serious moolah for these Claymores. The Claymore Core will set you back Php7,250 while the Claymore with the detachable numpad will punch a Php9,310-sized hole in your wallet. If you’ve got the money for it, both keyboards will become available in the Philippines sometime between December 2016 and January 2017.
