Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Render Leaked Online

I’m not a big fan of Samsung watering down its S4 brand with variants like the S4 Mini and S4 Active, but if this new render of the Galaxy S4 Zoom is anything to go by, I’ll let it slide. Why? Just look at it! If you thought the Galaxy Camera was the perfect marriage of smartphone and camera, you’re going to totally flip over this!

Sweet mother of cameraphones, that was gorgeous. Anyhow, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom features a 16mp primary shooter with 10x optical zoom. That’s one of the best cameras you’ll find on a mobile phone short of the Nokia Pureview 808 and Samsung’s own Galaxy Camera (yes, the 3G version sort of counts).

Once you get past the camera though, things start looking a bit watered down in the Galaxy S4 Zoom specs department. The device features a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED touchscreen display and is powered by a 1.6GHz dual core processor. It will come with 8Gb of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64Gb via micro SD and will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box with Samsung’s Nature UX on top.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom shares some design influences as the Galaxy S4 series that has been infused with a bit of Galaxy Camera DNA. I like how the power button, volume/zoom rocker and shutter button are all on one side of the device. That way, whether you’re using it as a camera or phone, the button placement still makes sense.

No word yet when this will be released globally, but Samsung has an event scheduled for June 20, which is the likeliest place for them to launch the Galaxy S4 Zoom along with a few other Galaxy and Ativ devices. Liking the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom? I know I am!
