Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Plus: High Performance, Premium Design

Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Plus

Back when I reviewed the Flare X, I thought nothing is going to top this at its price point for a while. Fast forward to today and it looks like the newly launched Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Plus is here to convince me otherwise. It comes with a few spec upgrades over the Flare 4 and S4 while sporting a gorgeous metal frame that looks more premium than its Php7,999 price tag.

Metallic Frame

For just Php1k more than the Flare X, the Flare S4 Plus gives you roughly the same performance encased in a metallic frame. There’s some heft to it, although this lends itself well to the overall premium feel of the phone.

Screen

The Flare S4 Plus comes equipped with a 5.5 inch Full HD screen with a 64-bit 1.3GHz MT6753 octa-core processor beating under the hood. For multitasking, you get 3GB of RAM while 32GB of internal storage is there for your apps, media, and other files. You also get 4G LTE support for the following LTE bands: 850/1800/2100MHz.

Back

Imaging is also impressive as the Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Plus sports a 16mp camera with LED flash on the back, while an 8mp camera is responsible for selfies. Both front and back cameras utilize BSI sensors for slightly better low-light performance.

Personally, I would happily spend an extra Php1k for the Flare S4 Plus vs the Flare X, for the premium design. That’s just me though. Which would you guys prefer, the Flare S4 Plus or the Flare X?

  1. Lollipop os has a lot of bugs, 2900 mah battery may seem small if you house 3gb of ram with octacore, and for a price of 7999 well I can get a firefly mobile allure with beyond specs as that s4 can do. Not a good deal. Maybe we can try to do some research first before we buy it.
