Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 Could be a More Affordable Option to the Galaxy Note 4

There are phablets and then there’s this mother of a phablet called the Alcatel One Touch Hero 2. Not only is it a mouthful to call by name, but it also sports some pretty respectable specs considering this isn’t exactly a top-tier brand we’re talking about. It features a 6 inch Full HD IPS OGS display with Dragontrail scratch-resistant glass, 2GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, and even a stylus for all of you creative-types!

The rest of the One Touch Hero 2’s specs are what you would expect from a reasonably mid-high end smartphone. You’re getting 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, a capable Mali 450 GPU and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Surprisingly, there’s also LTE connectivity, which is likely thanks to a separate chip since the MT6592 doesn’t actually come with it. And of course, powering the entire assembly is an adequate 3,100mAh battery.

While 6 inch phablets really push the boundaries between phablet and tablet, the Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 may be the perfect size for those who enjoy stylus-based input but would prefer something smaller than the Galaxy Note 4. It would also be a more convenient alternative than carrying around any of the Galaxy Note tablets.
