LG Magna Now Available, Sporting a 5 Inch HD Screen and MediaTek SoC

While it’s flagships like the LG G4 that grab people’s attention, the LG Magna is looking to make a name for itself, at least in the low-to-mid-tier performance bracket. It packs a 5 inch HD IPS display, 1.3GHz quad core MT6582 processor from MediaTek, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage. Not only that, but its screen features a slight curve like the higher end Flex 2!

Personally, I prefer LG’s approach to curved screens on smartphones. The shape just makes sense when taking calls or watching movies. And with the LG Magna, you can now take advantage of LG’s screen curvature at a significantly lower price point.

Specs-wise, the Magna should be able to deliver a solid user experience, although admittedly, it’s beginning to show its age. A couple of things it does have going for it are Android 5.0 Lollipop and a relatively massive 2,540mAh battery.

The LG Magna is already available in the Philippines sporting a Php10,990 price tag. It faces tough competition against our local brands, but if you’d rather spend on a smartphone that’s backed by an international brand like LG, the Magna may be for you.
