Xiaomi Mi 4i launched in India for Little More Than Php9k!

Xiaomi has been launching quite a few products lately, some of which include an air purifier and action camera. However, it’s been a while since they’ve updated their flagship. That changed just recently with the iPhone 5c-esque Xiaomi Mi 4i, a budget-minded update to the Mi 4.

The Mi 4i features a 5 inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Imaging-wise, the Mi 4i is up to par with many flagship-class phones, sporting a 13mp camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash, as well as a 1.8mp front camera that’s accompanied with a number of software features, with most selfietographers likely to gravitate to the beautify feature.

Other features include a massive 3,120mAh battery, dual SIM support, dual LTE support, and of course, the company’s proprietary MIUI 6, a UI overhaul that tries to simplify the stock Andriod UI, most notably by doing away with the app drawer and widgets altogether.

The Mi 4i will only be available starting in India beginning April 30, however, it is expected to roll out to other markets like ours eventually. Priced at Rs. 12,999, the Mi 4i could cost as little as about Php9k when it does get here. Here’s to hoping.
