Battery capacity and time to charge is quickly becoming one of the more important specs to consider when buying a smartphone these days. However, the problem with most smartphones is that the larger the battery, the longer it takes to charge. The Innos D6000 changes that by featuring not just one battery, but two! It comes with a 2,480mAh battery, as well as another removable 3,520mAh battery for a whopping total of 6,000mAh!
So why the two batteries? Well, thanks to DuoCharge tech, it’s possible to charge both these batteries at the same time, making for a significantly improved total charging time! There aren’t any tests yet for just how long the Innos D6000 can really last on a single charge, but official numbers peg it at about 3 to 5 days. It’s like returning to the days when we had simple Nokia dumbphones that lasted forever on a single charge.
Of course, the rest of the phone is no slouch either. The Innos D6000 is equipped with a 5.2 inch Full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. This scratch and shatter-resistant glass helps prevent your screen from being easily damaged while you’re ussing it. It’s also driven by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor from Qualcomm. Not only is it one of Qualcomm’s first forays into octa-core SoCs, it’s also one of the chip-makers first 64-bit processors. The Adreno 405 GPU is also quite nice, boasting support for DirectX 11.2, OpenGL ES 3.1, and OpenCL 1.2.
The Innos D6000 is part of a growing number of affordable flagship phones from China to come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Thanks to that much RAM, the D6000 should make quick work of most multitasking situations, allowing you to switch between apps with ease. And if you aren’t already satisfied with the amount of storage you’re getting, the D6000 also lets you expand it via microSD.
Smartphone photographers should find themselves quite pleased with the D6000. It comes equipped with a 16mp BSI rear-facing autofocus camera with a dual-tone flash and blue glass filter, which is probably similar to what you can get on the rather pricey Lenovo Vibe Shot. For selfies, there’s a 5mp BSI front camera with an 88 degree wide angle lens and F2.0 aperture for better low-light performance and better image quality overall.
The Innos D6000 isn’t likely to make its way to the Philippines any time soon. However, international online stores like Gearbest already have it on pre-sale for just $249.99 or roughly Php11k after straight conversion.
