ASUS Zenfone Go 6.9 (ZB690KG) is a Whole Lot of Phablet for Just Php4,995!

One good way to reduce the clutter in your bag is to take one less device with you. The ASUS Zenfone Go 6.9 makes it really easy to do that by doubling as a phone and tablet with a super affordable price tag of just Php4,995. Of course, a phone with a screen that’s as big as a small tablet might not appeal to as many people. However, if you find regular phablets in the 5.5+ inch range too small for you, the Zenfone Go 6.9 could make for an ideal option.

Just don’t expect top-of-the-line though. The 6.9 inch display comes with a resolution of just 600 x 1024 with a rather low pixel density of 172ppi. Also, it’s powered by a rather modest Snapdragon 200 SoC with an Adreno 302 GPU. And with just 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, it’s not exactly going to be a multi-tasking multimedia monster.

Instead, what you’re getting is a serviceable tablet with phone functionality. There’s no 4G/LTE, but there is support for up to 3G speeds, as well as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and dual SIMs. Both the battery (3,480mAh) and Android version (Lollipop 5.1) leave something to be desired, but at this price point, it’s hard to complain.
