Cherry Mobile has announced the availability of another one of its more interesting smartphones from their yearly Cherry Mobile Festival brochure. The Cherry Mobile Touch XL 2 is a massive 6 inch phablet with admittedly middling specs. However, it does come with a free pair of VR glasses to get new users started on VR content.

VR isn’t widely popular yet, but it’s been made more easily accessible on Android thanks to Google Cardboard and a slew of inexpensive VR headsets. You don’t even need a flagship phone either, as inexpensive midrange smartphones like the Cherry Mobile Touch XL 2  are already capable of playing VR content. The Touch XL 2 just makes it even easier for new users by coming pre-bundled with a free VR headset.

And the Touch XL 2 itself is still a pretty serviceable phablet considering its price. Even without the VR headset, watching movies and viewing other content should be enjoyable on its large 6 inch HD screen. While not the best, its 1.3GHz MT6580 quad core processor along with 1GB RAM and 8GB built-in storage should be good enough for casual users.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have support 4G/LTE, but it comes with a large 3,000mAh battery and runs Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box to make up for it. At just Php Php3,490, the Cherry Mobile Touch XL 2 is easily one of the best deals in its price range.
