Alcatel Idol X Successor Will be Another Ultra Thin Device Powered by MediaTek

Once upon a time, Alcatel held the title of world’s thinnest smartphone with the One Touch Idol X. That didn’t last very long, but it looks like its successor is aiming for that crown again. Images of a new Alcatel smartphone emerged and is said to be the successor to the Idol X and is codenamed Idol X+ internally for now.

Not much is currently known about the Alcatel Idol X+ but it’s looking to be an impossibly thin phone. The bezels also appear to be nonexistent with the screen stretching almost all the way to either edge of the phone. It does appear though that the Idol X+, if that’s what it’s going to be called, will be powered by a MediaTek processor, possibly the new octo core MT6592.

No news yet as to when the Alcatel Idol X+ will get here or if that will indeed be the name it will launch with. Stay tuned for more updates though.
