Alcatel Watch Promises to be Your Android’s Perfect Partner on a Budget

I like the idea of complementary wearables, but the thing I hate about them is that some of them can be so expensive while doing very little for the money. So when a relatively established international brand promises a fashionably good-looking smartwatch on a budget, I’m all ears. And that’s exactly the Alcate Watch wants to be.

The Alcatel Watch kind of looks like the Moto 360 because of its round face, which is a departure from some of the chunky first smartwatch attempts from other companies. According to Alcatel, the Watch connects to Android smartphones and act as a remote for things like the camera or music player. It can also function as a health monitor and notification center as well.

Unfortunately, the company revealed little else aside from that. No news about what kind of hardware it runs or what it will be priced at. They did however promise that the Alcatel Watch will only cost a fraction of what competing smartwatches are. If the end product will end up looking anything like these renders, Alcatel might make a huge splash in the wearables category.
