Back in February when the Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2 was originally launched, the local phone brand had initially promised that the octa-core handset would receive a KitKat update in March. Well, several months down the line and there’s still no update. However that’s soon to change as the Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2 KitKat update has just been announced on Facebook, and this time it looks like it’s for real!
According to the quick announcement, the Cosmos Z2 KitKat update will become available on June 16. The Cosmos Z2 already has an OTA (over-the-air) update application built-in, so all you have to do is launch the application on the promised day. Of course, you’ll want to take a few precautions before you do.
Some Quick Precautions Before Downloading the Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2 KitKat Update
Before anything else, you’ll want to backup all your important data. You’ll also want to make sure you update over a secure WiFi connection. It’s possible to update over mobile data, but WiFi is much more stable. Also before updating, make sure your battery level is at least 80% so the handset doesn’t accidentally die in the middle of the update.
