The people over at Cherry Mobile don’t seem to tire of releasing phone after phone after phone. Earlier today, they revealed a new phone by the name of the Cherry Mobile Life. It features a 1.3 GHz processor, 4 inch WVGA screen, 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The kicker? It only costs Php2,999!
Those of you who are familiar with the original Flare will probably recognize the specs to be somewhat similar. There are only a few differences, but those small differences are advantages in the Cherry Mobile Life‘s favor. For example, rather than a 1.2GHz Snapdragon MSM8225 processor, which is a Cortex-A5 chip, the Life is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6572 processor, which is a Cortex-A7 chip. And rather than the Adreno 203 GPU on the original Flare, the Cherry Mobile Life has the dual core variant of the Mali 400 GPU, which is much more capable when it comes to graphics performance.
The small improvements are great considering the device only costs Php2,999 and there are no big shortcomings or important corners that have been cut. You get Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, complete connectivity up to 3G/HSPA+, a 5mp autofocus camera, and a 1,500mAh battery. Admittedly, the battery is a bit of a downer, but hey, a lot of Flare users are perfectly satisfied with their purchase, so why shouldn’t it be the same with the Cherry Mobile Life? Looking to grab one? It hasn’t officially rolled out yet, but dealers are already beginning to receive stocks for the new device.
