MyPhone Quad Core Android Phablet Leaked Again, Confirmed to Have 5.7 Inch Screen and 1.2GHz Quad Core Processor

If you follow MyPhone through their Facebook page then you might have already heard about the MyPhone Meltdown event they’ve got scheduled on the 26th of this month. I had initially thought that it might be for a Daniel Padilla concert, but it looks like it’s shaping up to be an actual release event for what could be MyPhone’s latest and greatest Android offering. In fact, some of their recent Facebook posts have all but confirmed this. There was even an actual leaked image of the MyPhone quad core Android phablet, which I posted about here.

Update 7/19/2013: The phone has been officially announced as the MyPhone Agua Iceberg. Check it out here.

Well, now it seems there has been another leak as you can see above, which the MyPhone Android Lovers fan page shared with me and a bunch of other bloggers. This image shows a top view of quad core Android phablet with the front in a white finish. The previous leak showed the device in a silver finish but didn’t sport the iconic map of the Philippines that has become synonymous with MyPhone. So this latest leak might actually be a release version of the device, or something close to it.

In addition to this latest leak, a few more key specs have been revealed about this MyPhone quad core Android phone: it sports a 5.7 inch screen and 1.2GHz quad core processor. There has already been some conjecture that this upcoming phone might be based on the same OEM as the BLU Life View. If that is true, then the recently revealed screen size and processor type both fall in line with this theory.

Icon Set TouchWiz
UI Kind of Looks Like TouchWiz

To be honest, this latest leak reveals little more than the original leak did (check out the first one below). However, I’m starting to get the idea that the back might come in a silver finish while the front will be in white. This wasn’t that apparent in the first leak. Also, it might not be that obvious because of the extreme angle of the shot, but the UI looks like it was ripped from Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. No biggie. I actually prefer it to MyPhone’s usual stock icon set (it’s just my personal preference).

While the reveal of this latest phone from MyPhone won’t be until July 26, it appears that the local phone brand will slowly be leaking bits of information through their Facebook page and some of their loyal fans. It’s rare that I see this kind of marketing stunt from MyPhone, so I’ll have to say that I’m interested. Any of you planning to head to Eastwood City to check out the MyPhone Meltdown event and the official reveal?
