This time, it’s east Metro Manila that’s benefiting, as Antipolo, Marikina, Pasig, Taguig, Caloocan, and the towns of Taytay, Cainta, and Pateros now have 70,000 additional lines. So residents from villages like Brgy. Kaunlaran in Caloocan, Antipolo Hills Subdivision, Greenbreeze Phase 2 and 2A in Marikina, and Greenwoods Executive Village in Pasig, among other areas are now able to enjoy world class internet service and speeds.

Not only will east Metro Manila have access to PLDT’s Fibr fast speeds, they’ll also get to enjoy numerous entertainment options. Most of you will already be familiar with Netflix, iFlix, and Cignal that PLDT already offers. Now though, subscribers can also get their own PLDT TVolution streaming box that’s powered by Roku! FTTH allows seamless and stable streaming of all of these services, meaning users will no longer see the latency and pixelization that’s more commonly associated with slower copper-based DSL.

PLDT’s ease Metro Manila expansion is just the latest phase in the local telco’s push to bring Fibr to households nationwide. Previously, it has already transformed other key urban areas such as Toledo City in Cebu, General Santos in Mindanao, Naga City in the Bicol region, as well as South Metro Manila. At the end of last year, PLDT Fibr had reached 2.8 million homes. Currently, it has exceeded 3.3 million homes and hopes to reach 4.4 million homes by the end of the year.
