Starmobile Muse Joins a Growing Crop of Full HD Phones from Local Brands!

Starmobile Muse

Joining the small crop of Full HD smartphones that have begun emerging from local brands is the Starmobile Muse, a 5 inch phablet that was recently launched alongside 11 other phones. Key specs include a MediaTek MT6589T SoC with a 1.5GHz quad core processor and a PowerVR SGX 544 that’s been overclocked to 357MHz. Throw in a gig of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and you’ve got yourself a pretty respectable flagship phone!

Another great feature of the Starmobile Muse is that it sports dual high resolution BSI cameras. The rear-facing camera is a monster 18mp shooter, which should be good enough to replace the average point and shoot camera. On the other hand, the front camera takes 8mp resolution shots and has a wide angle lens to capture a wider field of view. Of course, it’s most likely that the resolution of the 18mp primary camera has been interpolated from 13mp since the MT6589T SoC can only support cameras with up to 13mp resolution. Still, these are pretty impressive imaging chops.

Wireless connectivity options are aplenty as the Starmobile Muse supports 3.5G/HSPA+ data speeds, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with A-GPS. The battery is so-so with a 2,300mAh capacity, but at least it runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. Looking to grab the Starmobile Muse this Christmas? It will be out by December with an SRP of Php12,990.
