Back in February at the MWC, Samsung gave us a preview of the Galaxy Note 10.1. It was still an early prototype running basically on the specs as the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with a digitizer that could recognize stylus S-pen input. Of course, Samsung did explain it was just an early prototype, and while there was a bit of buzz after the initial announcement, excitement for a full tablet-sized Galaxy Note died down.
That is, until recently. It appears that someone in Korea already has their hands on what is to be the final retail version and was generous enough to share the unboxing pics, not to mention the final specs.

The original prototype of the Note 10.1 only sported a dual core CPU, but now we can see it’s running the same quad core Exynos that powers the Galaxy S3. It’s also nice to see the Note 10.1 with 2Gb of RAM, seeing as only a few Android phones have come out sporting 2Gb RAM recently, the S3 among them. It should facilitate smoother multitasking and allow for more information-rich widgets to be put on the homescreens without slowing the entire system down. Then there’s the fact that it’ll launch with ICS out of the box. Sure, Jelly Bean is already out, but it will be a while until there are any other Jelly Bean tablets launched aside from the Nexus 7.
It’s important to note that the specs are for the Korean version of the Note 10.1 and it’s possible that other regions like the rest of South East Asia or the US will launch with a Note 10.1 that has different specs. For now, just feast your eyes on the rest of the photos.
