CD-R King LED Light Tubes are a Healthier Alternative to Flourescent

Almost every household makes use of fluorescent lighting, but just because they’re popular doesn’t mean they’re the best solution. In fact, they can be downright unhealthy. 8 hours of exposure to fluorescent light is roughly equivalent to an hour of exposure to sunlight because of the low level ultraviolet light it gives off. Not only that, but fluorescent lights typically contain a bit of mercury, which isn’t exactly environment-friendly. It’s why we’ve seen a push toward CFLs in the last decade. However, while they are more economical in terms of energy consumption, they still have that worrisome mercury content.

LEDs are the lighting solution of today and the foreseeable future. They’re even more luminous than fluorescent or even CFL lights. So while they’re more expensive per bulb, they can illuminate more space, resulting in a better lumens vs floor space ratio. The great thing about LEDs is they can take the form of light bulbs, LED strips, or LED light tubes that are backward compatible with fluorescent light fixtures.

LEDs do tend to be a bit more expensive, but CD-R King is an affordable source for them. Currently, they offer LED Light Tubes in T-8 10 watts, T-5 18 watts, and T-5 20 watts. They retail for just Php120, Php150, and Php200 respectively and can last up to 50,000 hours. The great thing is they can be purchased with their casing or as a replacement tube.

Looking to replace your lights at home with LED? CD-R King LED Light Tubes are available nationwide at all their branches. To learn more, just head on over to their website or Facebook page.

Back when I started MobileTechPinoy in 2012, phablets weren't a thing yet. I enjoyed the stares I got from iPhone owners whenever I whipped out my Samsung Galaxy Note at the time. I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
