Guess Connect Android Wear 2.0

Fashion brand Guess’ first attempts at a smartwatch didn’t exactly leave much of an impression. The original Guess Connect featured traditional analog watch faces with a small digital display for notifications. Due to their limited functionality as actual smartwatches, they may have left a lot of users wanting. Fast forward to today’s new Guess Connect Android Wear 2.0 offerings are now entirely digital. That doesn’t mean you’re getting a generic Android Wear 2.0 look though.

The new Guess Connect lineup will come in eight different styles: 5 for men (44mm) and three for women (41mm) and will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip underneath the hood. Other specs are to be confirmed but thanks to Android Wear 2.0’s requirements, we should already have a good idea of what we’re getting.

One thing I don’t like though are the “fashionably” gaudy styles. Maybe it’s just me or the renders, but they do come across as being to visually distracting. Probably the perfect smartwatch if you like making fashion statements.

Back when I started MobileTechPinoy in 2012, phablets weren't a thing yet. I enjoyed the stares I got from iPhone owners whenever I whipped out my Samsung Galaxy Note at the time. I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
