If you’re looking into wearables but don’t want to drop a sizeable chunk of cash on an overpriced Apple Watch, the Huawei Band is now hitting Philippine shores for just Php2,990. The affordable smart watch doesn’t run on Android Wear, which is one big reason why the pricing has been kept low, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a capable wearable.
It Band looks like a conventional watch to some degree, featuring a circular 128 x 128 touchscreen OLED display. It looks pretty premium too, with a brushed metal finish. Similar to most other fitness trackers, the Huawei Band can monitor how active you are, how many calories you’re burning, and how well you’re sleeping. The strap that comes with it comes in a choice of Black, Beige and White.
