If you’re one of the few who could actually afford the X-Pro1 high end compact ILC, you may be happy to know that it’s getting a sequel that’s just as premium in the form of the Fujifilm X-Pro2. With the X-Pro2, you’re getting a 24.3mp X-Trans CMOS III sensor and X-Processor Pro imaging chip inside an aluminum weather-resistant body. It also makes use of the X-Mount system, which features an extensive lineup of lenses to choose from.
The Fujifilm X-Pro2 is designed for professional photographers and has a 273-point autofocus system, supports up to 8fps continuous shooting, and shoots Full HD video at up to 60fps. It also comes equipped with a 3 inch LCD display and a redesigned UI that Fujifilm hopes will make it easier to navigate the menus. The X-Pro2 will be priced at $1,700 when it comes out in February, but keep in mind, that’s the body-only price tag.
