ASUS ROG GX800 Monster Gaming Laptop and Maximus IX Motherboards Unveiled for PH!

Sometimes you encounter something and come to a realization that there is a single word that exists to describe it. That’s what I felt about the word REDONKULOUS and the new ASUS ROG GX800. Republic of Gamers is no stranger to redonculously powerful laptops and they’ve just brought the sequel to one of last year’s craziest gaming laptops to the Philippines! This beast packs Intel’s Kaby Lake Core i7-7820HK processor, dual GTX 1080 GPUs, 64GB if DDR4 RAM, and 3 x 512GB SSDs.

An 18.4 inch UHD (3840 x 2160) display allows you to enjoy all that gaming performance while a separate liquid cooling module helps keep those dual GPUs cool for instant overclocking. The ROG GX800 is also a good deal more expensive than its predecessor, the GX700 and will retail for Php369,995 or about as much as a secondhand car. Not that most people will be able to afford it, but don’t tell that to its worshippers.

At a separate event, ASUS also unveiled its lineup of gaming motherboards, including the entire Maximus IX line.

ROG’s 2017 lineup is based on the Intel Z270 chipset and supports the 7th generation Core i7 Kaby Lake processors. There are solutions for everything from the budget conscious newcomers, style-conscious modders, and uncompromising overclocking enthusiasts.
