It wasn’t too long ago that people would frown on anything made in China. I remember that when I would tag along with my dad on an errand and he would pick up something with the words “made in China” on it, we automatically assumed it was of substandard quality or poorly executed. While the stigma still lingers among consumers today, Chinese smartphone makers have worked hard to eradicate, and Gionee has been at the forefront of all that.
Being one of China’s top mobile phone manufacturers, Gionee Communication Equipment Co. Ltd. has invested heavily to ensure that their products offer a lot of value, which I was able to witness firsthand at the official Elife E6 launch.

The Gionee Elife E6 is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor running on the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and features a 1080p Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also uses a Low Temperature Polysilicon LCD with special OGS display technology. In addition, the Elife E6 comes with 32GB of internal storage and also boasts of a whopping 13-megapixel back camera with the ability to record at 1080p Full HD resolution. The front facing secondary camera is a 5mp shooter and can likewise shoot in 1080p. The E6 is wrapped in a polycarbonate unibody design and is available in either black or white color, with a glossy white back that houses a 2020mAh non-removable battery.
The Elife E6 comes with a number of software tricks that add to its value as well. Its motion sensing technology lets a user easily operate the phone through motion gestures, when answering or declining a call, browsing through photos or controlling volume.
