Cherry Mobile’s Facebook livestream has been going strong now with its 6th episode airing just last night. On their latest show, hosts Victor Basa, Patrick Cañete of Noypigeeks, and Vince of Cherry Mobile featured a trio of super affordable tablets. However, that wasn’t all they revealed as they also nonchalantly announced that the launch of the upcoming Flare S6 and S6 Plus would be on October 12.
Details were scarce on what will eventually become part of the local brand’s new hero lineup for the Christmas season and early next year. However, it was revealed that the new devices would sport 18:9 screens. No other info was revealed, but these being part of the Flare lineup, I don’t expect either one to retail above Php10k.
In a previous episode of the Cherry Mobile Show, guest host Kim Chiu also teased an upcoming phone with what was supposedly an improved selfie camera. It isn’t clear if this is also the same phone as either the Flare S6 or S6 Plus, but it’s also another possibility to consider.
