HTC Desire 8 Leaks Online With 5.5 Inch Screen and HTC One-esque Design

HTC Desire 8 Leak

HTC revealed a while back that it would be focusing more on lower end handsets for 2014, something it neglected to do the year before. Now it appears that one of the first such devices from the Taiwanese brand will be the recently leaked HTC Desire 8, a 5.5 inch smartphone with a design that seems to have been lifted from the flagship HTC One. Of course, I don’t expect that the device will use the same premium materials and finish as the HTC One, but the HTC Desire 8 should still look much better than your average midrange device from Samsung (there, I said it).

So far, the resolution has yet to be revealed (info is still based on just a leak after all), and the same thing goes for the SoC they’ll be using under the hood. However, we do know that the HTC Desire 8 will feature a 13mp rear camera and a 5mp front camera with beautification mode that selfie lovers are sure to appreciate. Also, it’s expected to be a dual SIM device, making it perfect for markets like the Philippines.

No news yet when this will launch, but when it does, it will become available in white, red, yellow, orange, and cyan. Looking to pick up a budget-friendly phablet with HTC’s award-winning design chops? The HTC Desire 8 seems worth looking out for.
