Since it’s initial release, the Nexus 4’s popularity has yet to really wane. That’s mostly because of the scarce supply in comparison to the incredible demand for this feature-packed smartphone. That and the fact that it’s a Nexus after all. If you have yet to grab yourself one, here’s some reason for you to wait just a little bit longer. Apparently, PhoneArena has gotten its hands on a leaked photo of a white Nexus 4.
A white Nexus 4 has a strong possibility of becoming real considering that both the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus eventually came out with white variants. Also, the EXIF data from this leaked image indicates it was taken from an LG Optimus G. One can assume that some dude within the company was able to snap a photo of the white Nexus 4.
White Nexus 4 Availability
Currently, the black Nexus 4 is still in short supply as LG struggles to meet demand. This has led to high local pricing, even through post paid plans through telecoms or gray market sellers that typically sell for a lot lower than mall pricing. If you try to get the Nexus 4 through post paid plans that subsidize part of the cost, it can still sell for about Php25k. Gray market sellers fare a little better of course, and the last I checked, you can get a Nexus 4 for about Php21k. Not much of an improvement considering it’s supposed to retail for $299, or the equivalent of about Php12k. That should have become a little less than Php16k even after import dues. If this short supply and high local pricing continues, expect the white Nexus 4 to fetch even more of a premium.
