Samsung has been rumored to have plans of releasing four new tablets within the first 6 weeks of 2014. One of them appears to have been spotted in an FCC filing bearing the model number SM-T320. While that’s nothing in and of itself, that same model number was mentioned via the Indian import and export agency Zauba, where the device is said to have an 8.4 inch screen. This doesn’t exactly mean that the SM-T320 is the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, but odds are strong that it is.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 SM-T320 is described as being a WiFi-enabled device with Bluetooth and GPS. No mention of 3G or 4G radios was mentioned. However, the model number for Samsung’s 3G/4G variants of their mobile devices have always been different from the WiFi-only variants.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is likely meant to compete with the similarly-sized LG G Pad 8.3 and is just one of a trio of Pro tablets set for early 2014, the other two being the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. There will also be a Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Lite, which will be an even more lightweight model of the original Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 in terms of specs.

Samsung has had great success by saturating the market with mobile phones at all price points and it looks like they’re taking a more aggressive approach with their tablets. This appears to be a case of throwing anything and everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. Are you excited at the possible new tablet options Samsung is coming out with or are you just meh?
