Aside from revealing the new RedMi branding, Chinese smartphone maker XiaoMi is also in the works with a new flagship. Nothing official has been revealed about the upcoming phone yet, but the XiaoMi Mi4 as it’s expected to be called was recently spotted on Antutu with its hardware specs bared for all to see.
While the screen size wasn’t revealed, it does show that the XiaoMi Mi4 will be rocking Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution. It will also be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 800 SoC with onboard Adreno 330 graphics for some serious performance under the hood. There will also be a 13mp rear camera, 8mp front camera, 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, and Anrdoid 4.3 out of the box.
The Mi4 specs are pretty competitive considering XiaoMi’s phones typically sell for a lot less than similarly-specced phones from brands like Samsung or LG. However, they won’t be top-shelf for long. Still, at least we’ll be seeing high end like this at a more affordable price, probably through the RedMi brand they’ll be using to reach out to international markets.
