Cherry Mobile Flare S4

In addition to the Flare 4 that was launched today was another game changer, the Cherry Mobile Flare S4. To cut the story short, the Flare S4 is essentially the same phone as the Flare 4, with the same 5 inch HD resolution screen, 1.3GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. Heck, they even have the same 13mp/5mp setup and are priced the same at Php4,999.

Of course, there is a difference between the two. Although both have 4G LTE support, they each support a slightly different set of bands: the Cherry Mobile Flare S4 supports the LTE 850/1800/2100MHz bands whereas the Flare 4 supports LTE 1800/2100/2600MHz. Another notable difference is in their design. The Flare S4 is slightly thicker at 8.4mm and has straight edges instead of the curvier design of the Flare 4.

The Cherry Mobile Flare S4 also comes in more guy-friendly color variants. It’s available in White/Silver (white front, silver back), White/Gold, Black/Silver, and Black. Choosing between the two should only be an issue of LTE bands, although if you’re a guy, the color variants might matter too. So which game changer do you guys prefer?

I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
