Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga and ThinkPad X240 Brings Smart and Sleek Computing to the Workplace

I’ve always been a fan of the Lenovo Yoga series of devices because of the innovative design. It basically gives your typical notebook 4 fun modes of functionality that you can easily and intuitively switch between depending on what you need at any given time. The latest entrant to the Yoga series is the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga, which brings that same 4-mode design to business computing in the workplace and beyond.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga got an official launch at the COVA Tapas Y Sangria Restaurant in Makati along with one of their newest Ultrabooks, the ThinkPad X240. The ThinkPad Yoga shares the same 4-mode design as the other Yoga series notebooks before it, but it features a higher resolution 12.5″ Full HD screen, the tried and tested ThinkPad keyboard, and the all new Lift and Lock system that locks the keys in place when in anything but clamshell mode.

The local variant of the ThinkPad Yoga and is powered by the 4th Gen Intel Core i5-4200U, and you can upgrade all the way up to a 4th Gen i7. You also get a speedy 128GB SSD drive and 4GB DDR3L RAM. The Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga promises up to 8 hours of battery life, allowing you to be productive all day. Oh joy!

Not to be outdone, the Lenovo ThinkPad X240 is quite a beast in its own right. In fact specs-wise, the ThinkPad X240 has the ThinkPad Yoga beat in almost all aspects except for the ability to transform into 4 different usage modes. It’s powered by an Intel Core i7-4600U and comes with 8GB DIMM memory. You also get a choice between 500GB or 1TB storage options. The battery life is particularly impressive because not only do you get an internal 3-cell battery, but an external 6-cell battery as well, which is why the ThinkPad X240 can last up to 17.4 hours. Unfortunately, the 12.5″ screen only has 1366 x 768 HD resolution, but at least it gives you more processing power on the cheap.

Pricing and Availability
