Cherry Mobile Superion Voyager is an 8 Inch Tablet with 3G Support for Php4,999

In case you missed it, Cherry Mobile recently teased a couple of tablets from the Superion line. For those who aren’t aware, the Superion line of tablets from Cherry Mobile have SIM support and phone functions. Now, the local phone brand has just announced both devices, one of them being the 8 inch Cherry Mobile Superion Voyager.

The Cherry Mobile Superion Voyager is an entry level tablet, featuring modest specs. It has an 8 inch XGA display (1024 x 768 resolution) with a pixel density of 160ppi. Like the Cherry Mobile Superion Discover, it too is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. In fact, aside from the screen size, the rest of the specs are pretty identical between the two: 3G support, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Probably the only other differences between the two are the battery and price. The Superion Voyager has a 3,500mAh battery and is priced at Php4,999 compare to the the Superion Discover’s 3,000mAh battery and Php3,999 price tag. The specs aren’t anything special, but they provide decent enough performance at a price tag that’s hard to beat. Between the two, I’d say I’d choose the Cherry Mobile Superion Voyager over the Discover because of its larger screen size. Which one would you guys pick up if you had the chance?

  1. Well and good Cherry, but I don’t find this a compelling choice. 512 + screen size (yeah it’s 8″ but the “boxy” type – there’s a term for display sizes like this.

  2. i couldnt agree more with mr ferdinand marte.the price is very catchy indeed.but do it have the wow factor when flare was released before.i think not.better w8 for CM’s other tab releases i know they should be cooking up a 1gb ram tab by now.but this ones something people can do without
