The Flare S7 series was a promising reboot for Cherry Mobile’s famous budget-minded smartphone lineup. Interestingly, they decided to come out with 2 variants: 2GB and 3GB models. While the 2GB RAM variant is just Php4,599, by adding just a few more hundred pesos, you can get the 3GB model for just Php4,999! The scores are to be expected for an entry-level device. I also ran the Flare S7 against some gaming and GPU benchmarks. Let’s see how it fares.
From experience, achieving at least a 13fps in GFXBench’s T-Rex benchmark would result in average-yet-serviceable performance in casual games, but the Flare S7 misses that mark. It’s far from a world breaker, and it’s definitely not a gaming phone. So who is this phone for then? Find out soon in my full review!
