Awesome Sale at Widget City! LG Prada 3.0 and More!

Okay, so Widget City always has a number of great offers going on at any one time, but something caught my eye the other day. The LG Prada 3.0, the third and latest device in LG’s collaboration with Prada to produce designer phones, is being offered on sale until July 30 for just Php13.8K! Just so you guys know, the SRP of this awesome phone is Php26.5K, making it a real steal if you want a designer smartphone.

LG Prada 3.0

The Prada 3.0 is quite simply a beautiful phone. It features a 4″ screen with hardly any bezel around it and measures only 8.5 mm slim while maintaining a reassuring bit of heft that really makes you feel like you’re holding a premium device. The body of the device might look like it’s made of metal, but it is actually a good combination of patterned plastic and a great paint job, allowing the Prada 3.0 to maintain an acceptable weight of only 138 grams. Speaking of that pattern, Prada fans will surely recognize the one used on this phone. The body has been made to mimic the famous Saffiano pattern, which is the pattern of the leather that Prada likes to use on a lot of its pieces.

Of course, it doesn’t compromise on performance either. The Prada 3.0 has been out for a while, but it still features some of last year’s top end tech. The 4″ screen is an IPS NOVA display that is capable of producing exceptional brightness (more than 800 nits) while maintaining good color reproduction and wide viewing angles. It uses an admittedly dated TI OMAP 4430 dual core CPU clocked at 1Ghz to combine with 1Gb of RAM, but take note: you won’t find another dual core smartphone out there for less than Php15K that features Prada’s premium styling.

The Prada 3.0 isn’t the only thing Widget City has on sale though. There’s also the buy-one-take-one deal on the LG Optimus 2X for just Php22,990 for a couple of these phones. Then there’s the LG Optimus Black, which originally featured the NOVA display (700 nits). That one’s selling for just Php9,900, which is 38% off the mall price of Php15,900. It isn’t just last year’s tech that’s on sale though. They’ve also slashed off prices on their already lower than market prices on the latest range of Xperia phones, not to mention some of the older Sony Ericsson phones and accessories.
