Akyumen Holofone Phablet Runs Android/Windows and Has Built-in Projector!

Akyumen Holofone

The best smartphones aren’t just powerful, but versatile too. And they probably don’t get as versatile as the Akyumen Holofone. Not only does this 7 inch monster of a phone run both Android and Windows 10, but it also packs a built-in 35 lumen projector that can project up to a 100 inch screen! The idea is to replace not just your smartphone and tablet, but your laptop as well.

Holofone All Sides

The Holofone phablet is driven by a respectable Cherry Trail z8300 quad core processor, which should be enough for most desktop applications, let alone smartphone apps. It’s also a fairly capable multi-tasker and multimedia player thanks to its 4GB of RAM and whopping 128GB of RAM.

There are a few details that need to be clarified before declaring the Akyumen Holofone Phablet an awesome deal though. First, if I’m understanding the product page correctly, its version of Android is already a bit dated: Lollipop 5.0 or 5.1. Second, it isn’t clear if it runs full Windows 10 for desktops and notebooks or just the version for mobile. Finally, it only packs a 2,910mAh battery, which should be easily drained in no time if you’re going to use the built-in projector without keeping the phone plugged in.

While there’s not much that can be done about the Akyumen Holofone running an outdated version of Android, there’s still hope that it does indeed run full Windows 10. Even so, it’s a pretty intriguing device. Would you still buy it if it only ran Windows 10 for mobile? Let me know in the comments!
