The 2015 Zenfone lineup has had a pretty strong showing in the Philippines, but that hasn’t stopped ASUS from sneaking in the 6 inch variant of their popular Zenfone 2 Laser. The ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 6.0 variant features a familiar design seen on the 5 and 5.5 inch versions, but with slightly upgraded specs to go along with the larger screen size. The Zenfone 2 Laser ZE601KL comes equipped with a 6 inch Full HD screen, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and a whopping 32GB of internal storage.
Arguably, what made the Zenfone 2 Laser series so popular was its strong imaging features, and in the case of the 6-inch variant, that hasn’t changed. It sports the same 13mp autofocus rear-facing camera with laser autofocus and dual-tone flash. The laser focus that allows you to achieve a lock on your subject in as little as 0.03 seconds, coupled with a strong camera app that includes a manual mode, makes the Zenfone 2 Laser 6 inch variant a great phone for smartphone photographers.
Unfortunately, the bumped up screen size and specs also equate to a more expensive price tag. Although Php11,995 is still a pretty good price tag for what you’re getting, that also means it’s pricing itself out of the budgets of a lot of Pinoy smartphone buyers. Still, there are 5 and 5.5 inch Zenfone 2 Laser variants for the more budget-minded. So if you’re itching for a larger screen and strong camera-centric features, the Zenfone 2 Laser 6.0 is a great option.
