Blackberry Smartphones to Hit CES with Physical Keyboard!

Just when you thought Blackberry had finished dying its slow, bittersweet death, we’re suddenly getting a whole bunch of new smartphones at CES to start off the year. Chinese manufacturer TCL had acquired the global rights to the Blackberry name last December and they’ve wasted no time and should have a smartphone at CES with the familiar Blackberry keyboard.

TCL President Steve Cistulli teased a quick preview of one of the upcoming devices, giving us a quick look at the gorgeous keyboard and capacitive navigation buttons just above it. Most believe that the above device is the much-rumored Blackberry Mercury, which they expect to sport a 4.63 inch display with a weird 1620 x 1080 resolution. It’s also expected to come with a Snapdragon processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.

Interestingly enough, the Mercury isn’t TCL’s first stab at a Blackberry-branded device. They too were the ones behind the Android-powered DTEK50 and DTEK60.
