CDR King Intros 4 Inch Android Fastphone for Php2,580

CDR King Logo

If you thought you knew who all the local players were in the locally-branded smartphone wars, CDR King is looking to mix things up by introducing a couple of their own. JP Garmay, an admin of a Flare user group that I frequent on Facebook, pointed out an interesting new phone that CDR King had posted on their website, and no, it wasn’t one of those dumbphones they had been forcing down our throats lately. It was a sleek-looking new Android Fastphone that appeared to be a dead-ringer for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini.

Check out the CDR King Website for pics of the Android Fastphone!

Some of you might be familiar with how vague CDR King can be when it comes to product spec lists. They might show a really long list of hardware and software features, but in reality, they tend to shroud or hide the really important specs. For example, they might show that this particular CDR King Android Fastphone has a 4 inch WVGA screen, but there’s nothing in the way of actual RAM. There’s a part in the specs that says the internal memory is rated at 1Gb+256Mb though, but what the heck is that supposed to mean?

Anyway, the reason that this phone drew my attention is that when JP Garmay pointed this out to a bunch of us on that Flare group, the specs had originally and specifically specified that it had 2Gb of RAM. For a phone that only retails for Php2,580, that certainly drew our attention. Of course after awhile, the original link for that 4 inch Android Fastphone that JP had posted went dead, and a new one came up in its stead (refer to the source link below), and the new one didn’t make any mention of RAM except for that 1Gb+256Mb part.

  1. “1 GB+256”? I hate to say this but that may only means one thing: 1 GB of internal memory and 256 MB of RAM that’s nothing when you compare that to Flare…

  2. “1 GB+256”? I hate to say this but that may only mean one thing: 1 GB of internal memory and 256 MB of RAM. That’s nothing when you compare that to Flare…

      1. Yep, I also wonder how they managed to run the ICS in the 256MB RAM. looking at the specs, it’s so affordable, and might be the cheapest ICS smartphone! BEST BUY?! paging CDR King for review units haha.

        1. Did you see the first time around they posted this? 2gb RAM daw. Taragis yan! News spread like wildfire on the Flare group that I follow on FB. Good thing they went back and corrected it, but the spec list is still very ambiguous o_O

          1. may nakita akong ganyan sa cdrking. mukha namang acceptable itsura un nga lang nasa kaliwa ung volume rocker. post ko ung picts maya

          2. Can you try and verify the specs and get a hands on? some of the specs don’t make sense kasi. Thanks! Kahit ako, nakita ko din ang phone na yan. Parang S3 mini nga talaga, kso CDR King tatak, hehe.

  3. . ahm i plan to buy this phone.. asked ko lng ok lng ba tlga ang phone na ito ? nkkgmit ba ng temple run? or other games? .. ganda kse at first android 4.0 xah ee . .

    1. I haven’t used this phone before. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy it because some of the specs don’t make sense. Kung totoo nga na 1Gb internal storage + 256MB RAM yan tapos ICS daw, well I can tell you that there is no way you can run ICS on a phone with only 256mb RAM. Better to go with a phone from MyPhone, Cherry Mobile, Torque, or any of the other locally branded phones.

  4. Pumunta ako sa cdrking para mkta in actual at makalkal ang phone na ito na 1.5ghz na ics,

this is wat i saw nd exprnce:
-camera is gud, even at dark, w flash ksi, video is fare, doesnt pixelize.
-i dnt think its 1.5ghz, mbagal pag scrol, mukang 420mhz lng.
-and i think its only gingerbread, ksi 1touch lng ang fruit ninja nya, not multi touch.
-facebook is ok, same sa standard android.
    -wifi, never tried pa.
    -hd/3d games, nevr tried.
    -batry is 1800mah.
Parang froyo lng sya ng cherry mobile.

Pro sa 2,580 i think its fare enough. 1yr waranty nmn.
