Cherry Mobile has launched a new lineup of Flare smartphones beginning with the Flare 5. The Cherry Mobile Flare 5 is the most affordable of the phones that were launched last night, but it’s the only one with an AMOLED screen. Aside from that, this 5 inch smartphone packs a 1.3GHz MT6753 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.
The rest of the specs are pretty awesome for the price point. The rear camera is a 16mp shooter with phase detection autofocus, a BSI sensor, and LED flash. The front camera is an 8mp fixed focus shooter. Not only is 4G/LTE supported, but it’s also 700MHz ready. Unlike most of the new lineup of smartphones, it keeps its standard micro USB 2.0 port. However, at just Php5,499, it’s hard to argue.
