Cherry Mobile Flare S7 Benchmarks: How Does this Entry-Level Offering Fare?

The Flare S7 series was a promising reboot for Cherry Mobile’s famous budget-minded smartphone lineup. Interestingly, they decided to come out with 2 variants: 2GB and 3GB models. While the 2GB RAM variant is just Php4,599, by adding just a few more hundred pesos, you can get the 3GB model for just Php4,999! Is there any real benefit to having 3GB RAM on an entry level phone like this though? Find out soon by staying tuned for the upcoming full review. In the meantime, here are some scores from my favorite benchmarking apps.

The scores are to be expected for an entry-level device. I also ran the Flare S7 against some gaming and GPU benchmarks. Let’s see how it fares.

From experience, achieving at least a 13fps in GFXBench’s T-Rex benchmark would result in average-yet-serviceable performance in casual games, but the Flare S7 misses that mark. It’s far from a world breaker, and it’s definitely not a gaming phone. So who is this phone for then? Find out soon in my full review!

About The Author

Back when I started MobileTechPinoy in 2012, phablets weren't a thing yet. I enjoyed the stares I got from iPhone owners whenever I whipped out my Samsung Galaxy Note at the time. I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
