One of my regrets was not getting the Cherry Mobile S8 Plus at its Php6,999 sale price back when the local brand launched its One Cherry One Ecosystem back in September. As a budget-minded Pinoy with a family, it wasn’t in the plans and the promo period was just too short. Alas, when I checked back a few days later, it had returned to its original SRP of Php12,900.

Fast forward a month later with a lot of brands prepping their payday sales and more importantly the 11.11 sales right before Christmas, it seems that the Flare S8 Plus has gotten another sizeable price cut down to Php7,999. Albeit, unannounced as I was just checking the Cherry Shop for a good deal on a Deerma vacuum. It’s not quite as tempting as the September 29 sale price, especially when you consider the competition out there. But some of the specs do bear consideration. Take a look below.

So what do you guys think? I’ve always preferred pop-up cameras as opposed to the punch hole aesthetic. Share your thoughts below!

Back when I started MobileTechPinoy in 2012, phablets weren't a thing yet. I enjoyed the stares I got from iPhone owners whenever I whipped out my Samsung Galaxy Note at the time. I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
