The Cherry Mobile Flare X Lite has been recently given its own official announcement on the brand’s Facebook page and one of the most surprising things about it is that it doesn’t compromise anything in terms of specs. Sure, it’s smaller and features just a 5 inch screen. But almost everything else seems to have been lifted off of the current Flare X. It sports the same 1.3GHz MT6753 octa-core CPU and comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. What’s better is that it actually runs Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box!
There are a couple of differences between the Flare X Lite and the 2nd iteration of the Flare X with the updated processor. First is that the Lite actually comes with a better set of cameras (16mp rear / 8mp front). Second is that it has a smaller 2,000mAh battery.
The smallish battery may be a deal-breaker for some, but today’s SoC’s are much more energy efficient than smartphones from just a year or two ago. Still, it could have been better, although the Cherry Mobile Flare X Lite is still pretty much one of the best bang for buck phones at its price.
