Omega HD3

With components becoming more inexpensive, entry-level smartphones are much more powerful than they used to be. The Cherry Mobile Omega HD3 is an awesome example of just that. For just Php2,999, you’re getting a 5 inch HD IPS screen, 1.3GHz quad core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The rest of the phone is fairly serviceable. The Omega HD3 supports HSPA+ connectivity and comes with an 8mp camera with flash on the back and 2mp camera on the front. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.

The Omega HD3 is decent enough, although for an Omega HD series smartphone, it doesn’t quite seem to be as premium as I may have wanted it to be. Still can’t beat that price though.

I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
