MyPhone and Cherry Mobile have already launched their respective super-affordable quad core phones hovering at the Php5k mark, grabbing the attention of most local smartphone enthusiasts looking for the best bang-for-buck deals. Well, it looks like the Cloudfone Excite 502q will soon be joining the mix, equipped with a 5 inch screen, quad core processor, and interchangeable back covers!

The Cloudfone Excite 502q’s 5 inch screen is an FWVGA IPS OGS panel. What do those letters mean? FWVGA represents the resolution, which will be 480 x 854. IPS is a display technology known for its excellent color reproduction and viewing angles compared to regular TN or VA TFT displays. Finally, OGS stands for One-Glass Solution, which eliminates the air gap between the LCD display and glass, bringing the image much closer to the surface. In short, the resolution might be less than satisfactory for a 5 incher, but it will still look a lot better than your typical FWVGA screen.

The rest of the Excite 502q’s specs are pretty decent. You’re getting a 1.3GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. You’re also getting a 12mp rear-facing autofocus camera with LED flash and a 3.2mp front camera to handle imaging responsibilities. There aren’t any details regarding the battery capacity, but the Excite 502q will have dual SIM support and run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Priced at Php4,999, the Cloudfone Excite 502q will obviously compete with handsets like the MyPhone Rio and Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum, which is great for Pinoy consumers because this means more smartphone choices for us at this price point. While it hasn’t officially been announced yet, it already has a product information page on Cloudfone’s official website. Cloudfone should announce it pretty soon, so just stay tuned and feel free to like and follow MobileTechPinoy’s Facebook page and Twitter account for updates.

I dont comfortable sa ganitong performance.
