DTC GT15 Fiesta: A 6 Inch Quad Core Phablet That Doesn’t Go Beyond Php10k

DTC GT15 Fiesta Spec Sheet

After a couple of 6 inchers here and there in the past year, the supersized phablet category has been experiencing a resurgence with quite a few of them popping up from our local brands. However a lot of them have broken the Php10k barrier, which is a price point where you start considering phones from the likes of Samsung, Sony and LG rather than just our local budget brands. So the DTC GT15 Fiesta is a bit of fresh air considering it’s got a 6 inch screen, quad core processor, and fairly decent styling. The best part? It doesn’t go beyond Php10k!

So what are you getting for that kind of money? The DTC GT15 Fiesta features a 6″ qHD capacitive touchscreen, giving it a resolution of 540 x 960 and a pixel density of 184ppi. The clarity will be a bit on the low side since an acceptable pixel density for phones should be above 200ppi, however since this is a 6 inch phone, the natural viewing distance of the GT15 Fiesta will be much farther than with your typical 4 to 5 inch phone.

DTC GT15 Fiesta All Angles

Beneath the Samsung Galaxy series-inspired body lies a 1.2GHz quad core processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The processor is unspecified, but since the GT15 Fiesta sports a 13mp camera, it’s probably the MediaTek MT6589 since the only other possible option that’s also clocked at 1.2GHz is the Qualcomm MSM8225Q, which only supports cameras with effective resolutions of up to 8mp. There’s also a 2mp front shooter for Skyping, selfies and the like.

You certainly won’t find yourself short of network connectivity options as the DTC GT15 Fiesta supports 3.5G/HSPA+ data speeds, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with A-GPS. The Fiesta also runs Android Jelly Bean out of the box, but it isn’t specified whether it’s 4.1 or 4.2. Still, the DTC GT15 Fiesta is a fairly good find at Php8,888. It may not have an HD screen, but at least it’s not WVGA like some of the other locally branded 6 inch phablets below the Php10k mark.

  1. I got last nite DTC Nick Plus.I am happy with the speed that I get from this phablet.I was shocked that it was like the usual eating up your 1GB space and you cant install apk software anymore, blimey when I check the storage settings, all my apk file were installed on my 16 GB SD card storage..hhahahahhaha, nakakatuwa, so internal memory was kind 128 mb consumed lang.Dati sa phablet na nagamit ko diretso installation sa internal memory and the common message I get is ” pls.uninstall software” blah blah..So far happy ako,for the purpose of watching movie, reading ebooks, and for the gaming…sorry I dont play games.Im too old for gaming maybe occasional lang so you wont get game review here. The purpose of buying this simple gem is to enrich my brain again and read tons of my academic ebooks.Net browsing is quite mediocre pero pede pampa ubos oras.Im not a techie person so I dont debate much on the hardware aspect. As a non-techie head, this is fast for my ebook reading..I love it.

  2. 1 year and 2 months lang ang DTC Fiesta ko and di ko na sya nagamit dahil hindi na sya nag oopen.😑 Nalaglag lang ng 3 inch, yun di na sya nag open !😠
