MyPhone Storm: A Sensible 4 Inch Smartphone for the Budget

MyPhone Storm

Remember when dual core phones at Php4k were all the rage? Now it seems that we may be seeing them go below the Php3k mark as the upcoming MyPhone Storm’s SRP is rumored to be. And according to this MyPhone placement in an Automatic Centre brochure, the specs are pretty decent too, with the sensible smartphone sporting a 4 inch IPS screen, 1.3GHz dual core processor, and 512MB of RAM. The cherry that tops the cake? It will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Another impressive feat for the price is that the MyPhone Storm will feature a complete set of wireless connectivity options, which include 3G data speeds, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. For something that’s expected to retail below Php3k, that’s pretty awesome.

The rest of the specs are what you would expect for the price. The MyPhone Storm will have a 3.2mp primary camera and VGA front camera. Don’t expect BSI sensors on these, or even autofocus on the main camera for that matter.

No word yet on storage and battery capacity, but I’ll try to update you guys once the information becomes available. Hopefully, it will sport at least 4GB of internal storage and a 1,700mAh battery, but if it will indeed retail for less than Php3k, I wouldn’t keep my hopes up if I were you.
