If the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus ran Android, you’d probably get the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus. There are some slight differences of course. Still, the inspiration behind the Oppo R9 and r9 Plus’ design is undeniably Apple. That’s not to say imitation is a bad thing though as both of the new Oppo smartphones sport some pretty impressive specs.
Oppo R9
The Oppo R9 is the smaller of the two phones, although you wouldn’t think it considering it has a 5.5 inch display. It’s a Full HD Super AMOLED screen too, so many users are sure to appreciate the rich detail and over-saturated colors this screen technology is known for. The R9 is driven by a Helio P10 SoC to go along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has fairly impressive imaging chops as well, with a 13mp camera on the back and surprisingly an even better 16mp camera for selfies.

Oppo R9 Plus
As large as the R9 is, the R9 Plus is even larger with its 6 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Many of the specs are similar, although the Oppo R9 Plus swaps out the Helio P10 for the Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. You still get 4GB RAM, which is still ample by today’s standards. However, now you have the option to choose between a 64GB and 128GB storage variant. The camera setup is also slightly different with 16mp shooters both on the front and back.
