Qube may not be a recognizable brand when it comes to smartphones and tablets, but they’re certainly known for a wide range of consumer electronics products, including home computing systems, Smart TVs, CCTVs and the like. Well, they’ve been dabbling in mobile devices lately, with the Qube Colonia being their newest Android offering, and boy, is it something.
The Qube Colonia features a massive 5.5 inch HD IPS display, which isn’t the best resolution these days, but should still be good enough for movies, games or browsing the web. It comes equipped with a 1.7GHz MT6592 octa-core processor by MediaTek paired with a Mali 450 GPU for smooth operation and performance. And thanks to 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, you’re getting great multitasking performance and ample storage.
Other specs include a 13mp rear-facing autofocus shooter with LED flash, a 2mp front camera, support for up to HSPA+ speeds, a 2,400mAh battery and KitKat 4.4 out of the box. Right now, Qube is selling the Colonia for a pre-order price of just Php8,990. The Qube Colonia will officially become available by August 8 this year, but there’s no indication if it will go back to its SRP of Php9,990 when it finally does arrive. If I were you guys though, I wouldn’t wait to find out!
