Samsung is known for releasing special edition color variants of their most popular phones. The Galaxy S4 already has quite a few color variants, but the newly announced Jet Black is different from any other S4 color variant. Why? Because rather than the cheap, glossy plastic back cover that we’ve all come to know and hate, the Jet Black variant actually has a faux leather backing, a la the Galaxy Note 3 and Note 3 Neo! And guess what, the S4 Mini is getting treated to the same color and backing option too!
The new Samsung Galaxy S4 and S4 Mini Jet Black variants are only available in Russia for now and they will still retain the same pricing as the other color variants. Still, knowing how Samsung does things, it shouldn’t take long until we see it elsewhere, hopefully on Philippine shores sometime soon. Why the heck didn’t they come out with this sooner?
