What do you get when you take MediaTek’s wicked fast MT6595M octa-core processor and give it 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display? You get a wicked fast phone of course! And if the recent Antutu scores from the Starmobile Knight X are any indication, it’s going to be the country’s fastest locally-branded flagship smartphone!
The Sarmobile Knight X price has already been revealed to be Php15,999, which although expensive, is a much better than their previous octa-core offering and an awesome deal overall. It uses the same chipset as the Meizu MX4, which itself has also beaten some notable phones in the benchmarks. And while the Meizu MX4 sells for cheaper locally through Novo7 Tech, the Starmobile Knight X has the benefit of a better after sales support infrastructure.
Unfortunately, it’s still on Android 4.4 KitKat as most of the new locally-branded smartphones are. Hopefully, work on an upgrade to Lollipop 5.0 will start soon, but there’s been no word yet on that.
