Shortly after the Droidz Life HD debuted, Torque announced another entry to their smartphone lineup. The Torque Droidz Play 3G is an entry level Android phone featuring a 3.5 inch screen, 1GHz dual core MT6572 processor, 512MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The asking price? Just Php2,999.
The Droidz Play 3G’s Imaging responsibilities are handled by a 5mp rear camera and 2mp front camera. It also has a complete set of connectivity options, from 3.75G/HSPA+, down to WiFi and Bluetooth. While the Droidz Play 3G comes out of the box running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, it’s only powered by a 1,200mAh battery.
I’m pretty sure a lot of folks are a bit disappointed in the battery, but then it only has to power a 3.5 inch screen. Still, it would have been nice if the Droidz Play 3G could sacrifice a few millimeters and add more juice since the body of the phone is already quite small.
